Bleeper and Friends
For children aged 3-5 years
In this DVD film Bleeper and his best friend Battery help younger children learn about fire safety in a simple and fun format. Bleeper – a smoke detector with a bright red nose – is South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s safety mascot and the film covers safety in the home, bonfire safety, escape plans, fire drills and road safety.
Books have also been produced for firefighters to use in school with three to six-year-olds. The characters appeal to young children and the messages are simple and easy to follow. South Yorkshire Fire Service has donated this resource to the Kids Taskforce so it can be used by others across the UK. |
